is hiring a legal Assistant to aid our growing personal injury law firm.
Qualifications include:
A Full-time or part-time legal assistant is needed at a growing personal injury law firm in Gretna, Louisiana.
Must have at least 2 year of experience in a legal assistant or similair role in a law firm.
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements:
Legal research Draft legal letters and documents for review by attorneys (Letters of Representation, letters of Acknowledgments, Demand Letters, Letters of Protections, notices of depositions, subpoenas, and like documents); Review, organize, and maintain files and the documents therein; Conduct legal investigations as needed; Setting up client files; Communication with medical providers; Communication with Medicaid and Medicare; scheduling client with medical providers; communication with insurance companies and insurance adjusters; Experience in reviewing and summarizing medical records and depositions; Maintain active file list and other related lists including opened file list; Communicating with courts obo the attorney; Perfect service of suits and like pleadings on parties to litigation; Experience and/or Proficiency with the following systems preferred:
Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; For immediate consideration, forward resume, along with a list of references.
Pay rate is commensurate with experience.
Must have at least 2 year of experience in a legal assistant or similair role in a law firm.
